Who We Are

The Burnley Place Hospitality Group is a passionate group of individuals dedicated to: hospitality, our team, suppliers, family, community and the constant pursuit of the experience.

We have a number of things in common, but most evident is our unrivalled passion for unique experiences in hospitality.

How It All Began…

Burnley Place Hospitality started in 2014 with the opening of our first concept -

King + Bannatyne.

The Fast-Casual Sandwich located, in the Heart of The Exchange District in Winnipeg, opened with a bang on November 17.

The sandwich shop became an instant Winnipeg staple and part of the community.

The shop served as Burnley Place Hospitality’s only concept until after the pandemic…

In 2021, Burnley Place Hospitality decided to grow.

Owner and Operator Mike Del Buono decided to make the transition into full-service. He partnered with neighbour, and local chef, Emily Butcher to open Nola.

Nola quickly became one of the most talked-about restaurants in Winnipeg.

The restaurant found itself in the spotlight almost immediately. In 2022 Nola earned a well-deserved spot on Canada’s Best New Restaurants list.

After the success of Nola, it was time to keep going.

In late 2022 the team decided to renovate the space next door to Nola. Bar Accanto, a 30-seat all-natural wine bar and restaurant opened in late April of 2023.

Bar Accanto became the perfect addition to The Burnley Place Hospitality Family.

Providing opportunity for the team at Nola to expand - Bar Accanto allowed Sous Chef Colin Naylor take on a Head Chef role and develop an all-new menu. In 2023 Bar Accanto earned a well-deserved spot on Canada’s Best New Restaurants List.

And the story continues…

We look forward to the next chapter, whatever it may be.
